Mikołaj Małaczyński

Mikołaj Małaczyński

Chairman of the Management Board and co-founder of Legimi is responsible for substantive evaluation of cooperation offers and strategy of the company. He is a software engineer (Faculty of Computing Science and Management of Poznań University of Technology). He is the prize winner of international IT competitions, such as world finals of Microsoft Imagine Cup – Seoul 2007 for the enIEYEght project (mobile dyslexia diagnostic system based on eye movement analysis) and Paris 2008 for the Ecopteron project (autonomous helicopter used for natural environment monitoring). He is also a graduate of the School for Civic Society Leaders. He has authored numerous publications concerning e-reading market and is an activist for open reading platforms and open standards.

In his spare time, Mikołaj reads electronic foreign press. He is fond of open sea sailing, jazz, classical music and acoustic guitar playing.

Mateusz Frukacz

Member of the Management Board and co-founder of Legimi is responsible for contacts with partnership companies and product offers of the company. He is a designer and analyst of IT systems. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Computing Science and Management at the Poznań University of Technology. He has worked with mobile technologies since the beginning of his professional career and gained experience in various projects, including the navigation system for the visually impaired.

In his spare time, Mateusz plays football, goes skiing, sailing and reads contemporary crime fiction on hos e-reader.

Teresa Włochyńska

Teresa Włochyńska

VP Head of International Content has joined Legimi in April 2016 and is responsible for co-operation with international publishers, distributors and other business partners. Her goal is to introduce Legimi e-book platform to non-English speaking countries. Previously Teresa was holding numerous managerial positions in publishing as well in book distribution business. She used to work for publishing houses such as Egmont Polska and PWN Group – children’s and scientific publishers. As a CEO of a major book wholesaler – Azymut Ltd, she contributed to the technological change on the book market in Poland by implementing modern logistic solutions, digital content distribution platforms and digital printing.

Ewa Welter

Ewa Welter

Expansion Manager responsible for cooperation with Chinese publishers and partners. Her goal is to attract Chinese ebook market to the Legimi application and services. After her Chinese studies at the Poznan Adam Mickiewicz University and a 2 years scholarship at the Xiamen University, she was working in different branches of Polish-Chinese business.

She is passionate about Chinese culture and cuisine. She loves reading psychological books and traveling to Asia.

Andrzej Tabaka

Andrzej Tabaka

He is responsible for the overall finances, keeing up to budgets and arranging money for growth. He is a physicist with an economic and financial twist (MBA), who likes to share his knowledge and experience with others. For many years he was associated with a financial and business consulting. He developed business strategies for small and for really large Polish and international companies.

Privately he cannot imagine living without sport, music, books and good movies. His goal is to make spending in Legimi in the most efficient and value adding way.

Kuba Frołow

Kuba Frołow

At Legimi he is responsible for marketing, sales, as well as contact with publishers, libraries and business partners. He is a graduate from the University of Warsaw, Institute of Information and Library Science. He has always been 'into books'. Earlier he worked as an expert analyst of the publishing market, with strong ties to this industry (publications such as: "Biblioteka Analiz", "Notes Wydawniczy"). He is the founder of BookSenso - a company providing PR services for publishers.

He was forced to read in the dark, and so began his love for reading e-books. Kuba is inseperable from his ereader. In his spare time he enjoys running.

Jacek Kornicz

Jacek Kornicz

Jacek is a project manager responsive for crucial Legimi functionalities and products. He joined the company in February 2015 and has been focused on continuous development of the platform, including web services and mobile apps. Currently coordinating the expansion of the Legimi platform into the German and Chinese markets. Jacek has a broad professional experience, he was a project manager for a major Polish e-commerce platform and a restaurant owner in his home city of Poznan. He graduated Poznan University of Economics (Electronic Business faculty) as well as University of Abartay Dundee (Web Design and Development faculty).

Jacek loves to read, that's why beeing able to work in the book industry gives him a lot of satisfaction.

Piotr Kryger

Piotr Kryger

Distributed systems specialist. Piotr graduated from the Poznan University of Technology (Faculty of Computer Science). Together with Mikolaj and Jakub, he is the prize winner of the Microsoft Imagine Cup world final – Seoul 2007.

Piotr is passionate about football and cinema. In his spare time he also enjoys sailing and windsurfing.

Artur Wasilewski

Artur Wasilewski

Marketing Manager. He enriched his archaeological education gained at the University of Warsaw with postgraduate studies in management and marketing (Leon Kozminski Academy). Since 2005 he has been associated with the electronic publishing industry, he worked in the largest companies operating in this market (Nexto, eGazety, now Legimi). He consistently broadens his competences, primarily in marketing and PR.

Artur is a fan of Frank Zappa, Ewa Demarczyk and engaging literature, feminist. Using the benefits of working remotely, he said goodbye (without regret) to a Warsaw bleak apartment building and settled in a village of Podlasie.

SpeedUp is a group of venture capital funds established in 2009. It was created by four partners who knew one another and cooperated with each other for many years. The SpeedUp Venture Capital Group currently operate four funds: SpeedUp IQbator, SpeedUp Investments, LMS Invest and SpeedUp Innovation.

Apart from Legimi, SpeedUp Venture Capital Group have already invested in more than 50 portfolio companies. I. e. iTraffTechnology, Omni3D, IC Solution, Fanpoint, BookLikes and Okazjum. Recent investments include: Fanpoint, Omni3D, Stick and Play, Starbroker.pl, and Sellbox.

Satus Venture

SATUS is a Group of entities managing seed and venture capital funds founded in 2005. Together with academic and research institutes in Poland, SATUS established seed funds conducting preincubation of innovative investment ideas - JCI Venture Sp. z o.o., Akcelerator Innowacji NOT Sp. z o.o., as well as Fundusz Zalążkowy KPT Sp. z o.o. It also established a new fund - Venture Capital, to which it invited an elite group of investors from the SATUS Network of Private Investors and established cooperation with the Innovation Center - Technology Accelerator of the University of Lodz Foundation. So far, SATUS has invested over PLN 20 mil. in companies such as Han Bright, Evatronix, Bloober Team, OK System Polska, Aviator Technologie Lotnicze, Binary Helix, Encja.com, Controlling Online.
